Movie Review
This is a story about a group of boys who belong to a club and consider themselves best friends. They tell each other everything and share their highs and lows, and if one of them gets married, it’s time to celebrate! But wait, is it time to actually celebrate a friend’s marriage?
Pavi takes care of cows and Kiran spends her time dreaming of becoming a film director. Abhi and Amal don’t do anything at all, but the four of them are thick as thieves. When his friends learn that Bibeesh (Abhiram Radhakrishnan) is getting married, they are shocked as he hasn’t said a word to them.
Meanwhile, aging Pavi hopes to get married and has his heart set on Sujina, who comes to him with a problem – her younger sister Chandrika is willing to marry him if she marries the man she loves, not their father. engaged. Meanwhile, Abhi has been in love with Chandrika for 13 years, who still doesn’t know about it, and his friends try to reconcile him with her. Two story tracks are played and they connect at the end with a completely unexpected twist. So Pavi breaks Chandrika’s marriage? Pavi getting married to Sujina? Abhi marries Chandrika?
Enkilum Chandrike is directed by debutant Adityan Chadrashekar, who co-wrote the screenplay with Arjun Narayanan. This movie is a light hearted and fun yet comical entertainment that everyone can relate to. It’s like a comedy of errors on screen with stellar performances from the entire cast and the casting is spot on. The friendship between the four men and what they do to help each other and for love is very real, and although the story is very simple, the narration with comedy and twists keeps us engaged.
Although the film says Chandrika in the title, the film is about her but does not focus entirely on her or her sister. It is more about love and friendship, but Adithyan Chadrashekar and Arjun Narayanan have given us a film that we can enjoy and leave the theater with a smile on our face.
