Episode Review
Episode 1 of the series about Lydia Poet definitely lived up to expectations. Those of us expecting a well-behaved classic period drama rooted in tradition, including yours truly, have been surprised by the creators of this new Netflix series. The story format seems to be an anthology, where Poet and his brother will solve a new case in each episode.
These new procedural sensitivities have become a trend in the recent past, and the ever-decreasing attention span is to blame! In a way, Lydia comes across as a grown-up version of Enola Holmes. This Italian drama looks like an enjoyable experience.
