Elsewhere, Alan hugs Wen and she angrily tells him to go back to his seat. They have a tense conversation over breakfast when Wen declines Alan’s invitation to a restaurant opening by someone named James. She points out that if she leaves, she’ll have to pretend she’s still in a relationship with Alan. Alan gets up and leaves upset.
Gong catches Wen at work trying to Google how to turn a one-night stand into a relationship and tells her not to give too much importance to love. He also tells her to break up with Alan before starting a new relationship.
At home, Jim tries to contact Li Ming as he walks through his room. He remembered trying to smoke a cigarette and started looking through his closet. Li Ming walks in and is angry that he didn’t trust her after this one mistake. Jim instead says that he’s worried and responsible for her, while Li Ming says that he didn’t want to be born into poverty.
He says he wants to live his dream and asks if Jim is happy just running a diner. He leaves while his uncle is taken aback and looks at the approval form Li Ming needs to sign to allow him to work and travel as a minor. Meanwhile, Li Ming sulks while working on Supochs, and Heart tries to cheer him up by spraying him with water.
She tells him to cut it off, but then she sprinkles water on Heart and they start playing around. As they change into dry clothes, Heart can’t stop staring at Li Ming’s body and teases her by giving her a pink t-shirt that says “touch me if you can”.
That evening, everyone throws a surprise birthday party for Jim and Li Ming apologizes. He opens Gaypa’s gift, which is a bottle of liquor, but he writes that he can’t do it. Later, Wen crashes in Jim’s bedroom and asks if they are all adults.
They talk about Li Ming and Wen tells Jim to accept that his nephew is growing up. He also gives Jim a personalized t-shirt as a gift and tells him to try it on. When Wen changes, he continues to look at her and asks her if she likes him. He tries to kiss her and Jim remembers his past. Jim abruptly thanks Wen for the gift and leaves to take a shower.
The next morning, Wen tries to play a movie on DVD and when it doesn’t work, she asks Jim to tell her about it. Jim recalls a man torn between a girl and his fiancee about love at the wrong time. He also says that Li Ming took his name from the male lead. He adds that even if the person is right, it won’t work because the timing is wrong.
Wen looks disappointed, but ends up playing with Jimbo the cat. On the way home, Alan berates her for staying out and not picking up her phone. Wen tells him that he has found a new place and to move. Frustrated, Alan goes to Gong and asks for his help, as he is also his friend. Gong says he should respect what Wen wants, but Alan just asks about Jim from Wen’s Instagram story.
Gaipa shows up in the morning and offers to register Jim’s car. He drops Jim off at the bank, where he’s looking to get a loan for the diner. Without any collateral, the employee calls Alan, the department manager. He knows Jim and is flustered when he gives him advice.
Meanwhile, Gaypa smiles as she walks home and her mother asks her if she’s made any progress with Jim. She says it’s hard to hit on an older man because she can’t tell if Jim is just beautiful or if she likes him. He tells her to play hard to get or do everything, but not to regret it. She asks if he regrets being gay, and he says he loves her, but says he needs to find a boyfriend soon. They cheer him up and listen to music together.
As for Supochlar, Heart pretends to be sick in front of her mother while Li Ming hides in her room. After he leaves, they ride around Pattaya on Lee Ming’s scooter. They eat street food and Li Ming takes her to a special mass for the deaf community that he finds.
He sees that Heart is happy and asks Father what he can do to make him happy. Father suggests treating the Heart like any other person, talking to it, and using physical touch as reassurance. Li Ming decides to sign the hymn for the Heart as he feels the speaker vibrate.
At the diner, Wen arrives with Christmas decorations and says she wants to spend the holiday with Jim. They decorate for dinner while Wen tries to convince Jim to dress up as Santa Claus. He refers to Wen as his girlfriend and tries to argue with Jim. In the confusion, Wen falls and hurts his head. Jim tells them to leave and a furious Alan storms off.
Wen asks Jim to believe that she and Alan broke up a long time ago, but Jim tells her to go away. Meanwhile, while the pregnant Praew sleeps, Leng goes over his accounts and we see a pawnbroker’s receipt indicating that Jim sold the gold necklace he bought her. Supochs has a job and travel brochure given to him by Heart’s Li Ming, and he seems conflicted. Alan cries at home while a distraught Ven walks around town.
Episode Review
Heart and Li Ming will burn the hearts of the audience. They are absolutely so cute together and so open about their love for each other that it makes the relationship refreshing in contrast to the mystery that surrounds Wen and Jim’s relationship.
While many fans were unsure how to feel about Wen being cheated on in the way depicted in the trailer and the first few episodes, thankfully it was resolved with Alan being his ex. It would be even more cruel for Jim to know that he has become a house wreck, especially because his ex cheated on him.
As for Ms. Hong, she has officially topped the list of best TV moms. Not only does he help Jim when he’s not needed, but he’s also very supportive of Gaipa. Whether he’s gay or likes someone older, he loves her unconditionally. The world would truly be a better place if everyone’s parents loved like hers.
